Shri T.S. Sambamurthy Sivachariar was born in 1925 to the Adisaiva faith, people who have dedicated themselves for the service of God. He was serving at the Shri Kalikambal temple, Chennai as a priest since the age of 16 years. He is known for his proficiency in performing the Khumbhabhishekams (Consecration Ceremonies), Chandi Yagnas and spreading the message of our Vedas and Agamas all around the world. He has performed Khumbhabhishekams in India and many countries abroad like USA, U.K., France, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, Germany, Thailand, Canada, Mauritius and Sri Lanka.

He participated at Osaka World Religious Conference representing Hinduism at Japan. On August 28th through 31st of the year 2000, two thousand of the world's preeminent religious and spiritual leaders representing the many faith traditions, gathered at the United Nations for a Millennium World Peace Summit of Religious and Spiritual Leaders, in which he participated. He was honored by the Tirupati Tirumala Devastanam Veda Agama Patasala for his presentation in Saiva Agamas. He has also participated in many seminars and presented papers on the Saiva Agamas.  He was the President of the South India Archakas Association. He has trained many priests who are spreading the message of Hinduism all over the world. He is also the founder of the Maa Kalika Mandir Trust in which people of all sects and religion can come and meditate. He is teaching religious truths in Sanskrit and Tamil to the people at this trust. His goal in life is to serve the human society, which in turn would be true service of God. He wants all the sections of society to benefit by Hinduism and live peacefully.
